Warranty Period

This warranty is valid for 30 days from the date of delivery as confirmed by your tracking information.

What Is Covered

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that exist at the time of delivery, including:

• Hardware defects in components as assembled by AuDHDly, LLC
• Assembly faults or wiring errors introduced during manufacturing
• Dead-on-arrival (DOA) components that fail upon first use under normal operating conditions
• Hotspot never comes up as an option to choose from in your device's Wi-Fi settings

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage or failures resulting from:

• Water damage, direct misting of electronics, or submersion
• Improper setup, installation, or operation contrary to the included instructions
• Modification of the hardware, firmware, or software by the buyer or any third party
• Alterations to the preloaded software or operating system image
• Physical damage occurring after delivery (drops, crushing, enclosure accidents, etc.)
• Corrosion or component degradation caused by humidity or enclosure conditions outside normal recommended ranges
• Normal wear over time, including reduced performance of electronics in elevated temperature or humidity environments
• Loss of network connectivity, router incompatibility, or ISP-related issues
• Cosmetic variations in the 3D-printed hide body (surface lines, minor texture variation)

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, contact us at audhdlyreptilestudio@gmail.com with the following:

1. Your order number
2. A description of the problem
3. A photo or short video showing the issue, if applicable

We will respond within 3-5 business days to assess the claim and determine the appropriate resolution.

Warranty Remedies

At our sole discretion, we may offer one of the following resolutions for valid warranty claims:

• Repair of the defective component or assembly
• Replacement of the defective component
• Replacement of the entire unit

We do not guarantee a specific form of resolution. The remedy offered will depend on the nature and severity of the defect.

Return Shipping for Warranty Claims

If a physical return is required to complete a warranty repair or replacement:

• Dead-on-arrival (DOA) units or Hotspot-unavailable units: AuDHDly, LLC will cover return shipping costs.
• All other warranty claims: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs to us. We will cover shipping for the repaired or replacement unit back to the buyer.

Limitation of Warranty

This limited warranty is the only warranty provided by AuDHDly, LLC. All other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so this limitation may not apply to you.

Intended Use

The Peek-a-Hide is a hobbyist reptile monitoring device designed for casual observation of reptiles inside a home enclosure. It is not intended or approved for use as:

• A veterinary or medical monitoring device
• A life-safety or emergency monitoring system
• A replacement for a professional security system
• Any application where failure of the device could result in injury, death, or significant property damage

Buyer Responsibility

By purchasing and using the Peek-a-Hide, the buyer assumes full responsibility for:

• Proper placement and installation within their reptile enclosure
• Safe routing of the power cable out of the enclosure
• Ensuring the electronics housing is not positioned above water bowls or in areas subject to direct water contact
• Configuring their home WiFi network and router settings as needed
• Ensuring their internet connection and local network are capable of supporting video streaming
• Complying with all applicable local laws regarding recording devices and privacy

Seller Not Liable For

AuDHDly, LLC is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims liability for:

• Network configuration issues, router incompatibility, or ISP outages
• Inability to connect the device to a specific router, network type, or ISP
• Damage caused by direct misting, water exposure, flooding, or submersion of the electronics
• Damage to reptiles, enclosure equipment, furniture, or property caused by improper placement or use of this product
• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use this product
• Loss of data, including any footage or images captured by the device
• Reduced component lifespan resulting from operation in elevated temperature or humidity environments
• Overheating or fires caused by or related to the use, placement, or operation of this product under any circumstances
• Injury, illness, or death of any animal caused by electric shock or contact with the device or its components

Electronics in Reptile Enclosures

Reptile enclosures often operate at elevated temperature and humidity levels. While the Peek-a-Hide is designed with this environment in mind — including conformal coating on electronic surfaces, a low-profile CPU heatsink, a vented enclosure, and a sealed polycarbonate camera window — no consumer electronics are fully immune to the long-term effects of heat and humidity. Electronics operating in these conditions may experience a reduced lifespan compared to devices used in dry, climate-controlled environments. This is acknowledged and accepted by the buyer.

Animal Safety Notice

The Peek-a-Hide is intended for observation only. It is not a substitute for proper reptile husbandry, veterinary care, or health monitoring. AuDHDly, LLC is not responsible for injury, illness, or death of any animal resulting from improper husbandry, inadequate enclosure conditions, or misuse of this device. Buyers are responsible for ensuring that animals cannot access the power cable, ribbon cable, or any electronics components.

Camera & Surveillance Notice

The Peek-a-Hideis designed and intended solely for observing animals within a reptile enclosure. The device does not transmit video to any external server and operates entirely on the user's local network. Buyers are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the device complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding recording devices, surveillance, and privacy.

Camera Stream Duration Warning: Due to a known limitation of the Raspberry Pi hardware, the camera stream should not be run continuously for more than 2 hours at a time. Exceeding this duration may cause the stream to become unresponsive or the device to behave unexpectedly. If you plan to observe your reptile for extended periods, we recommend restarting the stream periodically. AuDHDly, LLC is not responsible for any issues arising from continuous stream operation beyond this recommended limit.

Electrical Safety Notices

• Use only the included power cable with a compatible 5V, 2A (or higher) USB-A charger block (not included). Using a charger rated below 2A may cause the device to underperform or behave unexpectedly. Do not use a USB charger block that exceeds the recommended voltage.
• Do not modify the wiring, electronics, or any internal components of this device.
• Inspect the power cable before each use. Do not use the device if the cable shows signs of damage, fraying, or exposed wiring.
• Keep the power cable and all wiring out of reach of animals at all times.
• Do not place the electronics housing directly above water bowls or areas subject to splashing.
• Do not place the electronics housing directly underneath heat sources (heat lamps, ceramic heat emitters, etc.).
• Do not mist the electronics directly. This product is not waterproof.
• Intended for use in indoor reptile enclosures only.

3D Printing Disclaimer

The Peek-a-Hide body is individually 3D-printed. Minor surface variations — such as faint layer lines or small texture differences — are a normal and expected characteristic of the 3D printing process. Colors may vary slightly due to filament batch differences and display settings. These variations do not constitute defects and are not grounds for a warranty claim or return.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AuDHDly, LLC's total liability to any buyer for any claim arising out of or relating to this product shall not exceed the original purchase price paid by the buyer for the product. This limitation applies regardless of the form of the claim, including contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
