Return & Refund Policy

Overview

Because the Peek-a-Hide is a custom-assembled, individually 3D-printed electronics product, our return policy is more limited than standard retail. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.

For defective or dead-on-arrival units, please refer to our Warranty & Liability Policy instead of this return policy.


Non-Defective Returns (Buyer's Remorse)

Return Window

We accept returns for non-defective reasons within 14 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below. Delivery date is determined by your order's tracking confirmation.

Conditions for Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, all of the following must be true:

  • The return request is initiated within 14 days of the delivery date
  • The item is unopened and unused — all original packaging is intact and the unit has not been powered on or connected to a network
  • All included accessories (power cable, adapters, printed instructions, and microSD card) are present and unaltered
  • The item is in its original condition with no physical damage

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return under any circumstances:

  • Opened or used units — once the product has been powered on, connected to a network, or placed inside an enclosure, it is not eligible for a non-defective return
  • The preloaded microSD card — because it contains AuDHDly, LLC's proprietary software, the microSD card is treated as non-returnable digital/software media and cannot be refunded separately
  • Items returned without all original accessories
  • Items with physical damage occurring after delivery
  • Items returned outside the 14-day window

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email us at audhdlyreptilestudio@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days with approval or denial and, if approved, return instructions.
  3. Do not ship the item back before receiving written approval from us. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  4. Ship the item securely to the address we provide. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.

Return Shipping Costs

For non-defective returns, the buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.


Refunds

Refund Amount

If your return is approved and we receive the item in eligible condition, we will issue a refund for the product purchase price only. Original shipping charges are not refunded.

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Shopify purchases will be refunded via the original payment method. Etsy purchases will be refunded via Etsy's refund process.

Refund Timeline

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process the refund within 5 business days. Depending on your payment provider or bank, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.


Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Orders

If you receive a defective, dead-on-arrival, or incorrect item, please do not use this return process. Instead, refer to our Warranty & Liability Policy for the appropriate claim process. Defective items are handled separately and may be eligible for repair, replacement, or other resolution under the 30-day limited hardware warranty.

If you believe you received the wrong item entirely, contact us at audhdlyreptilestudio@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of what you received.


Etsy Orders

If your order was placed through Etsy, this policy applies in conjunction with Etsy's buyer protection policies. In the event of any conflict, Etsy's platform policies govern transactions made on their marketplace. Please contact us directly first, as most issues can be resolved without a formal Etsy dispute.
